Ideal situation - never had to use the car once. Lots of walks right on the doorstep and when the weather was wet we took the train from the local station to Shrewsbury (15 mins) and Hereford (40 mins). Beautiful spot with superb views. Very comfortable, warm and really clean home from home. Thank you for the milk and the wonderful homemade biscuits.

We were in need of a comfortable, relaxing break and we found it here at Ferndale. The house has everything, beautifully appointed and the Welcome, milk, flowers and cakes were a lovely touch. We had a superb day at Powis Castle, the gardens are gorgeous. Carding-Mill-Valley also beautiful if a little busy but it is possible to find peaceful spots away from the main areas. The crazy golf in the Park in Church Stretton is surprisingly tricky but excellent value for money. We hope to return.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ferndale. It is a beautiful house to stay in with everything you might need. Found walking from the cottage fabulous especially going up and over the Longmynd and going over the stile in the garden to get up to Ragleth Hill. Thank you for the flowers, cakes and tips on walking and pubs - really useful.

We have had a lovely week. Thank you for the milk and homemade biscuits - most welcome after the long drive. The children have loved playing in the garden and the 'personalised' bedding was a lovely touch. Perfect position - able to walk out or walk in to town - have hardly used the car. Lovely walks in the Ragleth woods and Ashes Hollow. Many thanks from all.
